My practice is multidisciplinary, with an interest in themes of collecting, mindfulness and liminality. Whilst my artwork varies in medium, I always find that it links back to the north east in some way. Whether it’s through language, specific locations, or the community; the place I consider to be home is very important in my work. Often this north east connection manifests through inspiration from the coast. It is the place I feel calmest, and so it makes sense to me to look to it for inspiration within my practice. Small scale also frequently reoccurs in my work. I am interested in intricate details; art objects or paintings small enough to hold in your hand.
